Love what you see on the wall? Purchase online while you're there, show your order confirmation to a staff member, and take it home that day. Each framed piece is a one-of-a-kind, hand-trimmed original, so what you see in person is exactly what you get. Please note: this option is only available while you are present at a participating location, as availability may vary.
There's a specific kind of light at the end of winter. Everything is still cold and bare. There are signs of change coming, but for the most part it's dark skies and mud. Little bits of sunshine show up occasionally. Warm sun on a cold cheek after so many bone chilling days has to be one of the greatest feelings. It always comes just in time too, that familiar joy. Something in the air has shifted. You can feel it before you can see it. Electric blue.
Electric Flowers is part of my 2024 Electric Blue series: paintings and sculptures in the spirit of that season, right before spring arrives. You know what else feels electric blue? Nostalgia. Florals seen somewhere before, maybe on grandma's old chesterfield. It started as a painting, and now it's a print. Original artwork by me, Kat Leibfried (aka Frenly), made in Ontario, Canada.
